Wanara Studio’s journey started from experimental projects, combining their graphic design & illustration skills into several products such as T-shirts, totebags, scarfs, etc. Wanara Studio also did several exhibitions as a group artist and joined collaborative projects such as Video Projection and many more.

Wanara Studio founded on October 10th, 2010 by Bima Nurin Aulan, Habibi Putranto, Dian Efendy, and Sweta Kartika. They are alumni of Art & Design Faculty, Bandung Institute of Technology (year 2004), majoring Graphic Design.

In the same time, Wanara Studio is a bussiness company focused on Graphic Design and Illustration services, such as making brand identity, logo, company profile, editorial design, web design, motion graphic, infographic, short animation, etc.

We enjoy to help solving design problems by unique, communicative, and creative way of solutions, just like the character of Wanara in the Ramayana.

In Indonesian shadow puppet, wayang, Wanara described as “tailed human”.

This word referred to human + primate creature in the tales of Ramayana and Mahabharata, that has a brave personality and always curious about everything. The word Wanara formed from “Wana-nara”, means human (nara) who lived in woods (wana). Written in Ramayana that a group of Wanara help Prince Rama search for his love, Sita, and also join Rama to fight the Sita’s kidnapper, the mighty Rahwana.

Wanara’s typical characters are witty, playful, reliable, adventurous, honest, pure, loyal, brave, dan kind hearted.
